This has been a really strange week at work - very busy. I spent the entire morning today bemoaning the fact that the week was going SO slow and dreading the next two days before getting to the weekend. It was only at lunchtime that I finally realized that TODAY is Thursday and TOMORROW is......
Friday. Sweeeet, sweeet Friday. It also means I should finally have some time to knit because there has been precious little of that happening this week. ALTHOUGH all the weather forecasters have been teasing us with predictions of 70 degree weather on Saturday. 70 degrees pretty much counts as high summer here in Seattle, especially after last "summer." Last year, it apparently was illegal for the sun to come out on the weekend. We had a July, August, and September where MONDAY was the sunny day of the week and the weekends were drippy. So...if Saturday truly gets past 65 (or shoot, even 60) then I'll have to get a pedicure so I can flop around in sandals, ensure that my legs are shaved for at least some capris, and join the rest of the soggy Northwest population in baring some very, very white skin to the sun.
Since I have little to show you from this week's knitting, here's a picture of a Seasilk scarf finished earlier this year. This is the first time I've worked with Seasilk and I love the yarn. I attempted to start this project over Christmas holiday but just a clue: trying to keep track of lace charts while you're coming down with the flu, in the midst of the flu, or recovering from the flu is going to do nothing but show you the way to the frog pond.
More than once.
But the finished product is quite lovely.

Tracy, love the scarf.
If I can remember how, I am going to add your new blog to mine.
Glad you are back.
